A blurry website logo often comes from using a small file, a screenshot, or an unsuitable version on the wrong background. Start with the best original asset you have and ask the designer to prepare the appropriate web versions. Enlarging a poor source does not restore missing detail.
Find the original file
Look for the logo supplied by the designer or brand owner. Vector files can be useful because they describe shapes rather than a fixed grid of pixels. A sufficiently large transparent image may also work, depending on the design.
Avoid cropping a logo out of a business card photograph or social-media screenshot if a cleaner source is available. Those versions may include compression, shadows, or a background that was never meant to appear on the website.
Match the version to the background
A dark header may need a light logo version. A white page may need the full-color or dark version. Use approved variations rather than changing the colors arbitrarily and weakening the brand.
For a hypothetical boutique with a fine-lined wordmark, placing the logo too small can make it disappear even when the source file is sharp. Give it enough size and clear space to remain recognizable.
Keep proportions intact
Do not stretch the logo to fill an arbitrary box. Preserve its proportions and adjust the surrounding space instead. Check both the header and footer, where different layouts can introduce inconsistent sizing.
Review the mobile version too. A logo that looks balanced beside a wide desktop navigation may become crowded when the menu and contact button move closer together.
Prepare a reusable asset set
Keep approved files in an organized folder with simple names that identify light, dark, and full-color versions. Record any brand guidance about spacing or colors. This helps future website, document, and marketing work remain consistent.
ZING preserves the business's authentic logo and builds the design around it. Send the original asset where possible, along with any approved variations. A clean logo treatment is a small detail that can make the whole website feel more considered without changing the identity customers already know.
